About Dr. Ross

Dr. Steven Ross, D.C., F.A.S.B.E.

A 1982 graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Minneapolis Minnesota. He practiced in Golden Valley Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis from 1982 until April of 2004 when he decided to move his wife Sima of 25 years, and his 3 children; Justin 21, Jason 19 and Melanie 11 to pursue his lifelong ambition to practice in the beautiful San Diego area.

While in Minnesota, Dr. Ross was the director of 2 clinics and had lectured on numerous health care issues over the years on including Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Hormone Replacement Therapy and Osteoporosis to name a few.

His treatments include Chiropractic adjustments utilizing manual adjusting techniques along with a gentle mechanical adjusting instrument called the “Arthrostim”, which is an electronically controlled instrument that “vibrates” the vertebra back into place.

Dr. Ross also works with nutrition, detoxification programs and the latest technology in “Low Level Laser Therapy” which increases oxygen to the cells and reduces healing time. Low Level Lasers have been around since the 60s, but only recently have they become more efficient and readily available to physicians for the treatment of injuries and illness.

Low Level Laser penetrates the surface of the skin with no heating effect, no damage to the skin and no known side effects resulting in natural healing and pain relief while optimizing the immune response of the blood. This has both anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects. Dr. Ross is one of only a handful of Chiropractors proficient in the use of Laser therapy in the San Diego area.

Dr. Ross has advanced certifications in, Meridian Therapy, Industrial Consulting, holds a Diplomate from the American Academy of Pain Management, a Fellowship Candidate certificate from the American Academy of Applied Spinal Biomechanics,.

Dr. Ross lives in Carmel Valley with his wife and their 3 children. He enjoys exercising, golf, biking, skiing, photography and spending as much time as he can with his family outdoors.
